Kane Returns to Lead Blackhawks | NHL News

Patrick Kane is back with the Chicago Blackhawks, signing a two-year, $16M deal for his 20th NHL season — and he’s loving every minute of it. Already a three-time Cup winner with the team, he’s now an alternate captain alongside rookie star Connor Bedard, embracing his role as mentor to a young core including Bedard and Roman Kantserov. With over 1,400 career points and a reputation as “Showtime,” Kane is spending extra time after practice teaching the next generation how to win. The younger players, like Anton Frondell, see him as a rare treasure — someone who’s been there, done that, and still wants to be part of the group, not above it. As the Blackhawks kick off their season in Vegas, Kane is focused on helping them take that next step — and he’s having fun doing it.
