Donny Edwards Founder of Hunger Has No Religion on Non Profits Radio

Donny Edwards, a U.S. Army Veteran, is the founder of Hunger Has No Religion (HHNR). Retired in 2016, Donny decided to move from service to his country to serving his fellow man. Donny’s vision when he started Hunger Has No Religion, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization since 2015, was to provide hygiene items and donated clothing for our homeless community including veterans as well as the less fortunate. Donny has built a consistent and faithful group of supporters who make helping our homeless a possibility. Donny continues to recruit friends, family, local business and organizations to donate of their time, hygiene products, clothing and of course monetary gifts. Donny holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Columbia Southern University.

He is a member of the Alpharetta, GA Healthy Voice Toastmasters Club and currently serves as a
Board member for the Alpharetta Chamber of Commerce. His work in the local business
community demonstrates his continued efforts not only to help his home community but to bring awareness about this growing epidemic we call homelessness.

He has been rewarded for these efforts throughout the years from the military to partnering agencies such as Feed the Homeless Project and most recently he was including in the publication Men of Style, by Dr. Courtney Hammonds, where men of distinction and service in the community were featured. Donny continues to be a beacon of light in the fight against homelessness as he moves onto his next endeavor, Idara’s House, a transition home for homeless men.

Topics:
My experience (experienced homelessness)
Target market we serve (veterans and homeless men & women)
