Patti Woods loves to learn, especially about health, human behavior, and life. Coaching has always been a common and natural activity within every career and in her personal life. Exploring coaching as a career prompted her to enrolled in the Empowerment Strategist Certification. While Patti enjoys coaching people on relationships and everyday life, her passion is helping women reframe their body image. Her greatest joy would be to see a young girl changing the way she sees her body and living a happy, healthy life where her value is not related to what the scale shows. Patti believes that being an ideal weight is not the goal, a healthy-looking body is a byproduct of a balanced lifestyle and a positive outlook.

Ned Woods is owner of Woodsmen Builders. He has always had an interest in buildings. In his early 20's, Ned had worked his way up to the level of journeyman mason, got married to the love of his life and started a family. It was at this time that he decided to go to Arizona State University to become a teacher. He graduated with honors but decided along the way that being in a classroom all day wasn't for him. His passion for building lead him to start a masonry company instead which served Northern Arizona around Flagstaff. Ned eventually attained his general contracting license in 2007 and began building custom homes in the North Scottsdale area. Ned's final move in the construction industry was starting a general contracting business in 2021 with his oldest son in Tonto Basin, Arizona. Best selling author and empowerment strategist JJ Flizanes hosts Nutrition & Alternative Medicine, a space where the often rigid lines between conventional health advice and holistic practices begin to blur. Here, the conversation moves beyond simple diet plans to explore the interconnected systems of the body, with a particular focus on functional medicine and gut health as foundational elements. You’ll hear discussions that dive into the practicalities of gluten-free or paleo living, not as fleeting trends, but as potential tools for healing. The dialogue extends to the principles of acupuncture, Chinese medicine, and homeopathy, examining how these ancient and alternative modalities can complement modern approaches to issues like hormone balance, sustainable weight management, and chronic fatigue. This isn't just about information; it's about translating that knowledge into actionable strategies for your own life. The podcast serves as a resource for anyone feeling overwhelmed by conflicting health messages, offering clarity and inspiration on everything from the food on your plate to the energy in your living space.
