Nancy goes on to talk about what it was like growing up with special abilities while living on a farm.  Nancy tells a story of connecting with a stolen cat, and how she was able to help find the cat and get it back to its owner. She goes on to describe connecting with other animals as well including: Cats, dogs, fish, snakes, porcupines, and many more. She also talks about how she’s able to get images from pets from around the world.  Before they wrap, Laura asks Nancy about people who are skeptical of her abilities. She goes on to explain proper animal communication vs red flags that potential clients may find when searching for an animal communicator.  For More on Nancy:Email_ nancymello@nancymello.comWebsite _ www.nancymello.comIG_https://www.threads.net/@nancymelloofficialFB_ @NancyMelloOfficialTikTok_tiktok.com/@nancy.melloPodcast _ www.creaturepreacherpod.comBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/only-one-in-the-room--6052418/support. Laura Cathcart Robbins hosts the thoughtful and necessary Only One In The Room. The podcast was born from a specific, shared human experience: that jarring, sometimes isolating moment of looking around and realizing you are singular in some defining way. For Laura, a writer and advocate, it was being the only Black woman at a prestigious writer's retreat. Writing about that experience created an unexpected wave of connection, with messages pouring in from people of all backgrounds who’d felt that same "only one" pang in boardrooms, classrooms, and social gatherings. This isn't a lecture series; it's a collection of conversations. Each episode delves into the nuanced reality of what it means to navigate spaces where you stand out, exploring the subtle microaggressions, the unexpected moments of grace, and the profound personal resilience that emerges from these situations. Laura guides discussions with empathy and sharp insight, creating a space where guests-from various walks of life-share their deeply personal stories. Listeners will find their own experiences reflected and gain a clearer understanding of others', making the podcast a unique tool for both self-discovery and societal education. It’s about the universal longing to be seen fully while feeling fundamentally different, and how those stories, when shared, can build bridges of genuine understanding.
