Students nationwide can now participate in the Freedom two fifty American Heroes Student Art Contest! Choose an American hero from the National Garden of American Heroes, create a handmade artwork, and write a 200-word statement. Entries are divided into three categories: upper elementary, middle school, and high school. A panel of artists and educators will judge the submissions based on skill, creativity, theme fit, and artist statement strength. The top 168 winners will receive a trip to Washington, D.C., for the exhibition and awards at the Great American State Fair.
