Pelicans Add God Shammgod to Jamahl Mosley’s coaching staff, and Big Q breaks down what this move means for New Orleans basketball, player development, and the new Pels culture.
The Pelicans are reportedly hiring veteran coach God Shammgod as an assistant under new head coach Jamahl Mosley. Shammgod worked with Mosley in Dallas and Orlando and now joins the Pelicans as a front-of-the-bench assistant.
Big Q also covers the expected carryover assistants including Greg Monroe, Jodie Meeks, Mike Hopkins, and Will Bynum, plus potential Mosley additions Dale Osbourne and Bret Brielmaier. We also listen to Jamahl Mosley’s philosophy and discuss what kind of identity he wants to build in New Orleans.
Lakers Target Herb Jones rumors are heating up as Big Q breaks down the latest report connecting the Los Angeles Lakers to the New Orleans Pelicans’ elite two-way wing.
According to NBA insider reporting, the Lakers are expected to revisit Herb Jones as a trade target this summer after previously making a push around the deadline. A possible salary-matching framework mentioned includes Jarred Vanderbilt, Dalton Knecht, and draft capital.
Big Q breaks down the real question: Should the Pelicans even consider moving Herb Jones? Is that Lakers package enough? Or would New Orleans be making a major mistake by trading one of the NBA’s best perimeter defenders?
We talk Herb’s value, Pelicans roster direction, Lakers urgency, and what Joe Dumars should demand if Los Angeles calls again.
