20. Homes for people and their pets

Author: Brett the Vet November 1, 2021 Duration: 44:13

Pets are so important in our lives and they form part of the family for so many people, but not all forms of housing are pet friendly.
Certain parts of the residential sector place restrictions on pet ownership which means that not everyone is able to enjoy the benefits of pet ownership.
Join Brett the Vet and special guest Dr Emma Power, a senior lecturer at Western Sydney University, as they talk about some of these restrictions across different forms of housing.
They also discuss what current or future pet owners should be aware of when looking for a place to rent or buy? What landlords should consider with respect to tenants and pets? Should there be a shift from blanket rulings to rulings tailored to individual pets and houses? How to champion for more pet friendly forms of housing and much more!
Enjoy the conversation!
