Raised with cassettes and vinyl, he developed an early sensitivity to atmosphere, repetition, and the physical presence of sound. While the eighties were dominated by catchy pop melodies, he was drawn to drum machines, synthesizers, and electronic structures. His strong interest in technology formed the foundation of his musical development from the very beginning. Sound is not simply composed, but built, modulated, and spatially shaped. This technical awareness continues to define his work today. Neumenne lives and works in Goslar, near the Harz mountains. The quietness and openness of the landscape are reflected in his music: reduced grooves, deep basslines, and a conscious appreciation for monotony as it manifests in dub techno. Within repetition, he searches for delicate nuances — minimal changes, subtle modulation, and microscopic shifts in the sonic texture. His own field recordings flow into his tracks as organic layers, adding a tangible and personal dimension. Alongside digital production methods, Neumenne increasingly works with Eurorack modular systems and hybrid setups. Analog signal paths meet modern production environments, placing control and unpredictability in deliberate tension. Rooted in dub techno yet never confined by it, he willingly explores alternative paths. Genre conventions are not seen as boundaries, but as starting points for new structures and unexpected sonic decisions. His music is the result of a long-standing and consistent engagement with electronic sound — driven by technical curiosity, analog heritage, and a deep trust in space and repetition.
