Ep 11: Restoring Trust in the Body - Part 1

Ep 11: Restoring Trust in the Body - Part 1

Author: Natalee Facey October 17, 2020 Duration: 32:26

Today's podcast episode is all about restoring trust in your body. Wherever you are on the Birth Warrior journey, you may have experienced losing trust in your body, becoming disappointed, or even hating your body when it fails to do what you want it to do. I want to offer a gentle reminder that experiencing a loss or infertility may be our body sending us a message that we need to heal something. It may be trauma, stress, or any painful experience that we had in the past.

Our body can be considered as our vehicle and compass as we are moving around in this world. That's why it is very important that we learn how to listen to it, tune in to it, and trust it.

Diving deeper into Part 2 of this episode, I've included a few exercises that can help Birth Warriors, into bringing back love and trust in your bodies. → This episode will help you to better understand what happens in the body after loss, infertility, or trauma, and how to restore the trust in our bodies that's needed to navigate the world with confidence. I also walk you through a simple exercise to learn to reconnect with the body.

Navigating the path toward another pregnancy after a loss or trauma is a deeply personal and often isolating experience. Preparing For Pregnancy After Loss offers a compassionate space for this unique journey, hosted by Natalee Facey. As a mother to two angel babies herself, as well as a Resilience Coach and Birth Doula, Natalee brings both professional insight and profound personal understanding to each conversation. This podcast gently addresses the complex layers-emotional, physical, and mental-that accompany family planning after experiences like infertility, traumatic birth, or infant loss. Episodes weave together practical guidance on health and fitness with essential discussions on inner healing and emotional resilience. You’ll hear honest dialogues, strategies for rebuilding hope, and reflections on transforming grief into a source of strength. It’s more than just an educational resource; it’s about finding a supportive voice that acknowledges the fear and courage that coexist when considering pregnancy again.
