Ep 13: Pregnancy & Loss in a Foreign Country

Ep 13: Pregnancy & Loss in a Foreign Country

Author: Natalee Facey November 14, 2020 Duration: 1:30:28

Pregnancy Loss on its own is difficult. Imagine when that loss happens in a country you've lived in for just a few weeks. And imagine spending all of that time under lockdown during the early, frantic stages of the COVID pandemic. Imagine seeking prenatal care and being told by one medical facility after the other that they not taking in new patients.

This is the story of Donette and her husband, Andre, who experienced both the joy of their first pregnancy and the painful experience that came too soon after. Hear how they've navigated this unknown territory and what healing has looked like for them since.

And because their baby was here (and still is, though in another form). Because he was (and still is loved), let's acknowledge him by saying his name: Alexandre.

Thank you for sharing your journey with us, Donette. This experience can be shattering, but I believe each time a Birth Warrior shares their story, they grant others a little more power to keep going.
