Proletarian TV | 28 August 2026 Reproduced from ‪@garlandn‬ with thanks: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hy0tAp0izYM This week I spoke with Garland Nixon about the upcoming launch of a new antiwar organisation in Britain, one that has genuinely anti-imperialist politics at its core. The British Chapter of the Anti-Fascist International will be launching in Bolivar Hall, central London on Saturday 5 September at 1.00pm. Speakers at the event include me, Craig Murray, Chris Williamson, David Miller, Dr Ranjeet Brar and more. Register and reserve your place here: https://antifascistinternational.uk/f... In my discussion with Garland we looked at the obscenity of allowing the party that runs the wars on behalf of British imperialism to also control and direct the ‘antiwar’ movement. This is at the heart of the abject and repeated failure of Stop the War in Britain and similar ‘official’ antiwar organisations in other imperialist countries to do anything to meaningfully impede the war machine, never mind to actually stop a single war. Indeed, our ‘antiwar’ luminaries regularly and repeatedly stoke warmongering propaganda narratives against Russia, China, Iran and the DPRK, the cornerstones of world anti-imperialist resistance and the primary targets in the sights of the US/British/Nato war machine. No wonder Iranian comrades in Britain have concluded that “There is no antiwar movement in this country.” You can register to attend the Anti-Fascist International launch meeting or just to indicate your interest in getting involved as soon as membership is launched at the AFI website. This is a broad and much-needed initiative. Please join us! ______________________________________________ Subscribe! Donate! Tune into Proletarian Radio for a grounded and unflinching look at the world through a Marxist lens. Produced by The Communists, this regular broadcast cuts through the noise of mainstream news to offer a class-based perspective on unfolding political crises, international conflicts, and the struggles of working people everywhere. Each episode delves into current events with a focus on material analysis, drawing from the theoretical framework of scientific socialism as developed by the CPGB-ML. You’ll hear detailed discussions that connect daily headlines to broader historical and economic forces, providing context often missing from other reports. This isn't just commentary; it's a tool for understanding the root causes of inequality and imperialism. The aim is to arm listeners with knowledge that informs action, fostering a deeper comprehension of how to challenge the status quo. For those seeking a substantive alternative to conventional news cycles, this podcast serves as both an educational resource and a call to collective organisation. The conversations here are built on the principle that to change the world, one must first systematically understand it.
