Quantum Carnival
Hey aliengel ✨✨✨
New episode of Quantum Carnival is live, and this one has been living rent-free in my mind for a while.
In QC008 — “New Earth Economics ☆ the case for an expression-based economy” — I’m proposing what I call the Carnival Economy: an economic model that doesn’t orbit around war, sickness, incarceration, or scarcity, but around self-actualization, creative expression, community, and beauty.
I use Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs to frame the whole thing:
* Our current economy is designed around the bottom two tiers: physiological survival and safety needs.
* The Carnival Economy is built around the top three: love & belonging, esteem, and self-actualization.
I also use Burning Man as a case study — a real, functional city with a working alternative economy, built entirely on radical self-expression, and the PLUR values of rave culture. If Black Rock City can sustain tens of thousands of people without a dollar exchanging hands inside those gates, what does that tell us about what’s actually possible?
This episode isn’t about tearing down what exists — it’s about building the new. The call to action is simple: let your spending reflect your values. Support the arts. Support the creators and healers and visionaries in your community. Vote with your dollar.

I also created journal prompts to go with this episode so you can start mapping your own contribution to the New Earth Carnival Economy. Those are available for download here.
If this episode speaks to you, share it with someone who’s been questioning the system or dreaming of a different way. The vision spreads when we spread it. 🌊
Until next time — stay blessed.
Love, Calista ☆
