Rock on, even as the legends leave us šøā¤ļø
We just lost Ozzy this Tuesday. He was 76 and had just wrapped up his reunion tour with Black Sabbath. Last week, we said goodbye to Connie Francis at 80. As we spin nearly 80 years of rock 'nā roll, these losses hit more often. But the music? It never stops. Itās the heartbeat of our livesāand we keep playing it.
Because our shows are recorded a week or two in advance, we couldnāt slip Ozzy in this week. But weāve got a worthy stand-ināAlice Cooper and the Hollywood Vampires at the Helmand. And in memory of Connie, The Red Bird Girls are bringing the heat with Iām Just a Down-Home Girl.
We kick off with Strong Enough by Monovision, and you might just catch a little musical mĆ©nage Ć trois from the Hawaii Mudbombers. Need advice on how to turn a ānoā into a āyesā? No Costume, No Candy, and No Money No Honey will spell it out for you.
Plus, a Texas garage band called Sweet Smoke is covering Morning Dew (originally by Jeff Beck and Rod Stewart) and it's a vibe.
Join us in our rock ānā roll studio and listen to your heartās content. And donāt miss August 2ndāweāre going live with Jenny Bortman, President of Universal Insurance Programs, right in the studio!
Letās keep the music playing.
