SLY & ROBBIE TRIBUTE MIX

SLY & ROBBIE TRIBUTE MIX

Author: SELECTA JAHKEEM January 27, 2026 Duration: 2:35:36
Sly & Robbie, consisting of Sly Dunbar (drums) and Robbie Shakespeare (bass), were the most influential rhythm section and production duo in Jamaican music history. Known as the "Riddim Twins," they defined the sound of reggae, dub, and dancehall for over four decades. They are estimated to have played on or produced over 200,000 tracks. In 1978, they founded their own label, Taxi Records, which produced hits for artists like Gregory Isaacs, Dennis Brown, and Beenie Man. Beyond reggae, they were world-class session musicians for international stars, including Grace Jones (notably on the albums Warm Leatherette and Nightclubbing), Bob Dylan (on Infidels), Joe Cocker, Mick Jagger, and The Rolling Stones. They were pioneers in transitioning reggae from traditional "roots" to the digital "80s sound," integrating electronic drums and synthesizers. They won the Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album in 1999 for Friends and received numerous nominations throughout their career. _________________________________ 1 - Gregory Isaacs – Night Nurse (00:00:00) 2 - Gregory Isaacs – Cool Down The Pace (00:03:49) 3 - Dennis Brown – Here I Come (00:08:37) 4 - Dennis Brown – Revolution (00:12:44) 5 - Peter Tosh – Bush Doctor - 2002 Remaster (00:16:49) 6 - Peter Tosh – Legalize It (00:20:30) 7 - Black Uhuru, Sly & Robbie – Sinsemilla (00:24:47) 8 - Black Uhuru – Sponji Reggae (00:29:37) 9 - Culture – Iron Sharpening Iron - 2000 Digital Remaster (00:34:19) 10 - Culture – Too Long In Slavery (00:37:54) 11 - Jimmy Cliff – Reggae Night (00:41:12) 12 - iNi Kamoze – World A Music (00:46:14) 13 - Yellowman – Nobody Move Nobody Get Hurt (00:51:45) 14 - Beenie Man, Chevelle Franklyn – Dancehall Queen (00:55:16) 15 - Beenie Man – Foundation (00:58:29) 16 - Beenie Man, Sly & Robbie, The Taxi Gang – Jungle Boogie (01:02:08) 17 - Sly & Robbie, Shinehead – Boops (Here To Go) (01:05:53) 18 - Sly & Robbie – Bank Job (01:11:02) 19 - Sly & Robbie – Fire (01:14:48) 20 - Sly & Robbie – Friday (01:20:06) 21 - Ambelique – Penny Lover (01:23:44) 22 - The Rolling Stones – Undercover (Of The Night) (01:27:28) 23 - Herbie Hancock – Hardrock (01:31:52) 24 - Herbie Hancock – Making Love (01:37:53) 25 - Grace Jones – My Jamaican Guy (01:41:34) 26 - Grace Jones – Pull Up To The Bumper (01:47:18) 27 - No Doubt, Bounty Killer – Hey Baby (01:51:40) 28 - No Doubt, Lady Saw – Underneath It All (01:54:59) 29 - Serge Gainsbourg – Aux armes et caetera (01:59:34) 30 - Serge Gainsbourg – Javanaise Remake (02:02:20) 31 - Serge Gainsbourg – Dub et caetera (02:05:14) 32 - Bob Dylan – Jokerman (02:09:12) 33 - Mick Jagger – Just Another Night (02:15:13) 34 - Joe Cocker – So Good, So Right (02:20:12) 35 - Simply Red – Night Nurse (Radio Mix) (02:22:31) 36 - Sly & Robbie – Unmetered Taxi (02:26:06) 37 - Sly & Robbie – Dub Glory (02:28:30) 38 - Sly & Robbie, Romain Virgo – Star Across The Sky (02:31:30)
