146 \\ Good Plans: A Life Update & Why I'm Building Slower (and Stronger)

Author: Ashley Harvey | Christian Health Coach, Nutrition Coach March 9, 2026 Duration: 17:42
Hey there! After several months away from the microphone, this episode marks a simple return. This season of life required me to slow down, simplify, and rebuild with intention. Between pregnancy, a move to a new city, homeschooling, and continuing to train jiu-jitsu, I realized something important: good plans are not built through hustle or noise. They’re built through diligence and consistency.  In this episode, I share a short life update and talk about the principle that has been guiding this season — choosing steadiness over urgency and building rhythms that actually support faith, family, and long-term strength. You’ll also hear about how Reps and Redemption is evolving, including how the podcast and YouTube channel will work together moving forward. This return to content creation is a much needed reset, rooted in faith and stewardship. In this episode we discuss: A life update from the past several months Why slowing down can actually produce stronger results The difference between hustle culture and biblical diligence How this next season of Reps and Redemption will look Why building good plans matters for faith, family, and fitness What’s coming next: Future episodes will continue exploring the intersection of faith, strength training, motherhood, and disciplined living, with practical conversations to help women steward their health and homes well. Currently, on a social media break, feel free to e-mail me at RepsandRedemption@gmail.com Thanks for being here!  Ashley

Finding a sustainable path to health often feels like an impossible puzzle for mothers, where physical energy and spiritual peace are the first pieces to get lost. Reps & Redemption is built on the idea that these elements aren't separate challenges to juggle, but interconnected parts of a whole life. Hosted by Ashley Harvey, a Christian health and nutrition coach, this podcast moves beyond generic advice to offer honest conversations for women who want to feel strong in their bodies and grounded in their faith. You’ll hear discussions on creating time-efficient, energy-boosting workouts that fit into a packed schedule, and how biblical principles can inform a holistic approach to wellness rather than contradict it. It’s not about adding more to your to-do list, but about integrating strength training and spiritual reflection into the rhythm of your existing life. Each episode aims to provide practical, actionable strategies-from structuring a fifteen-minute home workout to re-framing fitness goals through a lens of stewardship and gratitude. Tune in for a blend of motivation and method, where building physical resilience and nurturing faith are seen as parallel, strengthening journeys. This is a space for moms seeking tangible fitness results without sacrificing their spiritual core, all within the realistic confines of a busy day.
