Criminal defense lawyer David McKenzie weighs in on Lindsay Clancy’s attorney Kevin Reddington’s appeal to get his baby killing client’s mistrial seen legally as an acquittal. What are his chances? Lindsay Clancy was on trial for the murder of her three children- Cora (age 5), Dawson (age 3) and Callan (age eight months). The prosecution alleged that Clancy planned and murdered her children in a methodical and calculated manner. The defense alleged Clancy murdered her children during a postpartum psychosis or bipolar episode. The trial ended in a mistrial with one lone male juror holding out for guilt- the other jurors (9 women and two men) all wanted Clancy to be found Not Guilty By Reason of Insanity.
