Rock n Roll Grad School #212 Final Gravity

Author: Heidi Hedquist/Luke Poling January 15, 2025 Duration: 29:41

LA-based prog band Final Gravity has released a new EP and are promising a 2025 full of music. We talked with Mike Clark about the recording process and the love of prog rock bringing everyone together.

You can download the new EP, Stormchaser, as well as their other releases on Band Camp and you can follow the band on Facebook.

Hosted by Heidi Hedquist and Luke Poling, Rock 'n' Roll Grad School is a podcast that digs into the real, unglamorous, and fascinating education of a life in music. This isn't a series of polished interviews, but the kind of sprawling, honest talk that happens after the show, when the gear is packed and the only thing left is the road ahead. Each episode pulls back the curtain on the performing arts, focusing on the hard-earned lessons, the bizarre gigs, the creative process, and the personal costs and triumphs that never make it into a press bio. You'll hear from musicians, roadies, producers, and others who live for the craft, discussing the art and the business with a depth that only comes from experience. The conversation is the point-it's meandering, funny, insightful, and deeply human. Tune in for a podcast that feels less like a lecture and more like you've found a seat in the back lounge, listening to stories that remind you why people choose this chaotic, beautiful path in the first place. It’s an ongoing dialogue about what it truly means to live a creative life, one mile and one melody at a time.
