It was established to address the needs of communities in North Texas through collective giving and the support of nonprofit organizations. Since its founding, the Orchid Giving Circle has distributed hundreds of thousands of dollars in grants to local nonprofits. These grants have supported programs ranging from mental health services and youth mentorship to cultural preservation. The organization operates as part of the Communities Foundation of Texas which helps manage its funds and administration.
