Trevor Lee hosts Running 44@60, a podcast born from a very personal challenge: to mark a milestone birthday by tackling a 44-mile ultra marathon along Cornwall's rugged coast. That initial journey from Lizard Village to Lands End was just the start. Now, the show serves as a companion for anyone eyeing their own first major distance, whether it's a marathon or an ultra. You'll hear from a variety of runners and specialists who share practical tips, actionable ideas, and hard-won advice that goes far beyond basic training plans. The conversations dig into the mental shifts, nutritional tweaks, and logistical nuances that can make or break a long-distance goal. It’s a resource that understands the unique blend of excitement and intimidation that comes with signing up for such an event. This isn't about elite performance; it's about the relatable, often messy, process of going from a concept to the finish line. Each episode aims to demystify the process and provide the motivation needed to take the next step. Tune in for honest talk about the realities of building endurance, managing setbacks, and finding joy in the immense challenge. The Running 44@60 podcast is a collection of voices and experiences gathered to help you prepare for, and ultimately complete, your own ambitious run.
