The journey of consciousness refers to the process of understanding and evolving one’s awareness and understanding of one self and the world. It encompasses various states of mind, from the awareness of thoughts and emotions to deeper insights into spirituality and existence.

Paramahansa Yogananda explains that human beings experience five specific states of mind. We all travel through these states on an inner journey that takes us from darkness to light, from illusion to illumination, from ego to soul, and from a foreign land to our true eternal home.

Happiness : Take a good look and think in positive direction will allow you to understand better and the best in all respects at all times on all occasions. It creates power and generates energy within abundantly. It also makes you to be active, practical, action oriented, zeal and enthusiastic to move forward with one step to reach miles and miles in your journey. It makes to reach your destination safely and securely well in time is the right way of living.

Sorrow: We have plenty of desires and come out one by one slowly after fulfilling the one and the next one occupies its place like this they are uncountable. If any of them were not happened or delayed we slowly deterioriate and feel discomfort to think and try to overcome it as soon as possible with our own effort is the most common thing happens in reality.

Indifference: It is neither happy nor sorrow but we are in different attitude and stay in middle. It is like an intermediate between the above two and looks dull, boring, tiresome, and uninteresting in our activities during the day and its happenings. We are in a bored situation.

Peacefulness: Peace alone gives us an opportunity to find the state of mind, where we are, what we do, how we comeout from sadness, or ill feelings will help to discover the experiences in practical manner makes sense and keeps us active and alert to move forward with pleasant movements gives joy and pleasure in every step by creating inner peace will help effectively.
