Since the dawn of time humankind has operated on the assumption that if you're good at one thing, you must be good at all things. It's the reason nerds online listen to some of the absolute worst takes of all time, the reason lawyers and doctors think they're good at computers (none of them are) and the reason actors start musical careers. Are some of them good? Yeah sure, but their latent fame from their previous career will often propel mediocre shit into the spotlight simply because of a name. The cycle repeats over and over, rewarding mediocrity and crushing originality under its boots. America is a failed experiment and its dream no longer recognizable to its people.

Deep beneath our feet, in a geothermal lab where the rock is hot and the standards are low, three eternally confined scientists conduct their audacious auditory experiments. This is Shitty Mashups. Each episode is a gleeful report from their subterranean studio, where the mission is simple: to fuse songs that were never meant to meet, crafting what might generously be called the worst music ever conceived. The results are unpredictable, often hilarious, and strangely compelling. You'll hear legendary pop anthems violently welded to forgotten elevator jingles, aggressive metal riffs underpinning smooth jazz solos, and nursery rhymes subjected to unthinkable electronic beats. The hosts, operating as the podcast's cursed creators, provide a running commentary of scientific despair and manic pride as their creations unfold. It's a celebration of glorious failure and a bizarre love letter to music itself, asking the important question: how wrong can a song feel before it becomes a new kind of right? Tune in for a uniquely chaotic and comedic listen that defies all conventional taste.
