Harald "Hardrada" Sigurdsson was a Viking mercenary in the Byzantine Varangian Guard and eventual King of Norway who threw his hat in the ring to conquer England in 1066. He lived an extraordinary life traveling far and wide participating in campaigns against Muslim Caliphates, Bulgarian rebels, and other Norsemen.
