Sonic Trip - Sad Softcore (1995)

Dive into the raw, energetic world of Sonic Trip (Breakbeat Hardcore), a direct feed from the Dublin-based production duo. At its heart, this podcast is a focused archive of their hard-hitting breakbeat hardcore creations, primarily driven by XS (Francis Horan). Each episode delivers the distinctive, frenetic rhythms and nostalgic rave energy that define this specific corner of electronic music. While the core of the show is dedicated to these breakbeat explorations, the duo's wider sonic adventures are acknowledged-their dabbling in hard dance, trance, house, and trip hop informs their palette, even as this particular channel stays true to its namesake genre. You'll hear tracks that feel both authentically vintage and personally crafted, a testament to years spent within the scene. It's less a curated radio show and more an open studio door, offering a pure, unfiltered stream of productions. For anyone with a fondness for the relentless pace and chopped-up breaks of 90s-inspired hardcore, this podcast serves as a consistent and dedicated source. Tune in for the unadulterated sound of two Irish producers committed to the vibe that first sparked their Sonic Trip.
