Episode 90: Vanilla Sky (with Andy Levy, co-host of The New Abnormal podcast)

Eric Peacock hosts Soundtracker, a weekly dive into the often-overlooked world of original motion picture soundtracks. Forget the simple playlists of pop songs; this is about the dedicated albums created for films, from undisputed classics to forgotten curiosities and everything in between. Each episode focuses on a single movie, weaving together a discussion of the film itself with a deep, thoughtful analysis of its accompanying soundtrack. The conversation explores how the music works within the story, stands alone as an album, and occupies its unique place in cultural memory. It’s a blend of genuine film criticism and music nerdery, delivered with a conversational and often comedic tone that reflects the show’s categories. While you can find samples elsewhere, full episodes of this podcast are available exclusively through Patreon, offering complete access to Eric’s thorough and entertaining explorations. Whether you're a cinephile, a music collector, or just someone who loves a good behind-the-scenes story, there’s a fresh discovery waiting in every installment.
