New program on Spanish Loops!!

We talk and explore the captivating life of Antonio Gaudí.

An architect in World's history books.

Antonio Gaudí was born in 1852 in Reus and faced health challenges during his childhood days. However these struggles nurtured his appreciation for nature that significantly impacted his organic architectural approach later on.

His architectural career took off after he completed his studies in Barcelona where his innovative designs grabbed the interest of patrons, like Eusebi Güell.

This chapter also goes into the artworks of Gaudí such, as Casa Batlló and Park Güell and his crowning achievement: The Basilica Sagrada Familia.

A project he poured his heart into during his years alive. Gaudí chose to remain unmarried and devoted himself entirely to his artistry.

Sadly in 1926, an incident involving a tram took his life before he could finish his creations. His remarkable legacy endures across Catalonia, Spain, where many of his works stand tall and designate him a figure in Spanish architectural heritage.
