This week, Stand-up comedians & Squishy Logic boys Kd Hinken and Nathan Parish are focusing on the story of the Shotgun Man; Tony Kiritsis & the 63 hour crime that made him infamous.
On Tuesday 8th February, 1977, Tony Kiritsis marched into his mortgage brokers office (Richard Hall) after Hall refused Tony extra time to pay his mortgage. Tony then looped a fishing wire tightly around Halls neck and then attached the wire to his modified, sawn-off shotgun Necklace trap (and attached the other part to himself.) Now he was able to lead Hall around by the Shotgun attached to Halls neck and if Hall tried to run away, or if Tony is hurt and falls to the floor then the shotgun goes off...along with Halls head. This started a 63 hour ordeal that lead from Halls office, down the streets of Indianapolis, to Tonys booby trapped apartment via a stolen police car. The situation almost ends quickly when Mr Psycho Shotgun Man accidentally falls over while walking, the only reason Halls brain didn't end up splattered all over the pavement was because he used it and squatted down as soon as he fell, stopping the booby trapped shotgun from going off. Tony had even planned this to the point that his house was a identical recreation of Halls office that he took him from. This story truly has everything, including it all ending with a ridiculous court case and verdict... and its in no way what your thinking.
