S1E3: Memos for the Next Millennium: Web3

Author: Meet Global @Business Next Media October 28, 2022 Duration: 29:03

The emergence of blockchain, cryptocurrencies, and Bitcoin has influenced intensively the global financial situation. The extension of the blockchain, Web3, builds the foundation for the financial provision of the next generation, which is impossible to achieve with Web 1 and Web 2.

Taiwan's neo fintech Web3 startup XREX builds a bridge between cross-border, virtual and reality financial world with its blockchain technology. They successfully obtained a Money Services Business (MSB) license from the United States Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) this year, laying a foundation in the global financial market. XREX has obtained 8 international licenses and registrations, including: United States, Canada, Lithuania, Estonia and Taiwan. They’re currently in the process of applying for licenses in Singapore and the United Arab Emirates.

In addition to international licenses and registrations, XREX also obtained ISO/IEC 27001 information security certification in August this year, which is a set of international standards jointly issued by the International Standards Organization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) in order to verify whether the organization's information security management system (ISMS) has a complete risk assessment and management plan. XREX passed all 114 application standards without any error and spent less time than others to obtain this certification.

In this episode, we invited the Co-founder & CEO to XREX, Wayne Huang, to talk about blockchain, Web3 and his prospect toward neo fintech.
