Warren Buffett announced last week that he bought TSMC Stock - American Depositary Receipts (ADR), which is worth more than 4.1 billion dollars. This is a rare major investment in the technology sector by Buffett's conglomerate. How is TSMC favored by international investors?

Be Everyone's Foundry, that is the main strategy of TSMC. In the 1980s, Taiwanese government planned to cultivate the semiconductor industry for Taiwan's economic development. Then, TSMC was founded.

TSMC's achievement lies in changing the global semiconductor division of labor. Before Morris Chang, wafer foundry was considered an impossible task since customers were afraid of leaking or plagiarizing chip designs, so they were reluctant to hand over chips to foundries for manufacturing. However, TSMC has persuaded a huge number of companies with its high-standard integrity management. TSMC has now become the largest semiconductor fabrication plant in the world.
