Bunny Brown and his Sister Sue at Camp Rest-a-While-Laura Lee Hope

Laura Lee Hope presents Story of a White Rocking Horse, a gentle audio series that unfolds in the quiet, secret hours when the playroom is still. It follows a particular toy, a beautifully crafted rocking horse from Santa's own workshop in North Pole Village, who is far more than painted wood and a curved rocker. This podcast brings to life a hidden world of fellowship and gentle adventure shared among magical toys when they believe no one is looking. Each episode continues the charming narrative, adapted from the writings of Nan Dodge, which originally formed part of a larger collection known as the Make Believe Stories. Designed for quiet afternoons or bedtime listening, the stories offer a sense of wonder that feels both classic and fresh, inviting young listeners and families to imagine the possibilities tucked into their own corners. There’s a comforting rhythm to these tales, where the white rocking horse and his companions navigate small challenges and discover joys, emphasizing kindness and camaraderie. The narration aims to paint vivid pictures with words, creating a space where fiction feels wonderfully tangible. This is the second tale in that sequence of twelve, but it stands perfectly on its own, a complete journey into a softly magical realm. Tune in to let the story carry you away to a village at the top of the world and the lively, whispering toys that call it home.
