And we're back for another episode where we talk Sun n Fun 2013, Rick's 100th Flying Video, and a whole heaping host of winter flying goodies! As many of you know, Carl is in training for the Airbus A320 and so his schedule has been difficult for podcasting so he wasn't able to join us on this show. BUT we were able to snag our friend and inventor of The AvPad iPad Kneeboard, Mike Ladd, to replace our lovable co-host that talks with his hands with a guest co-host that talks with a drink in his hands.

Pre-Flight

Sun N Fun 2013 is just around the corner. Both Carl and Len have signed up to volunteer for Sun N Fun Radio again this year so you can expect to see us running around campus conducting interviews on behalf of the radio station. We're also working to schedule in a LIVE podcast form the deck of Sun N Run Radio at some point during the event so stay tuned for more information.

Rick recently found out by virtue of one of his YouTube Channel subscribers that he'd uploaded his 100th flying video. That video can be seen here: Cessna 172SP Pattern #3 OWD 2-5-12. Certainly a fun and nifty achievement so lets all join in to congratulate him! We look forward to many more videos to come.

There's a particular sound that fills the cockpit when the microphone key is held just a bit too long-a soft hum of shared connection and stories waiting to be told. That's the spirit captured in Stuck Mic AvCast, an ongoing conversation led by Carl Valeri and a seasoned crew of co-hosts including Victoria Neuville, Rick Felty, and Eric Crump. This isn't a sterile technical lecture, but a hangar-floor chat that spans the entire journey from that first spark of curiosity to a lifetime spent in the air. You'll hear from pilots like Tom Frick, Russ Roslewski, and Larry Overstreet as they dig into the real-world nuances of training, the unexpected challenges of cross-country flights, and the simple, enduring joy that keeps them returning to the runway. Each episode feels like pulling up a chair among friends who get it, discussing everything from gear and regulations to the philosophy of flight itself. Tune in for a podcast that celebrates every facet of aviation, where the passion is as clear as a controller's instruction and the stories are as varied as the skies above.
