Casual Friday With Aaron Quinn

Author: Blue Wire October 14, 2022 Duration: 1:05:49

On this episode of Talking Buffalo Podcast, it’s Casual Friday but now with a new weekly guest. Aaron Quinn from Cover 1, a recurring guest on the show debuts what’ll be a weekly episode in place of Joe Yerdon, who’s now on the podcast every Tuesday. Today Patrick and Aaron are talking mainly Buffalo Bills as well as rolling out a new regular segment.

The Bills have a huge game on Sunday in Kansas City against the Chiefs and while the players are saying the right things, this is more than just another game on the schedule. The guys talk about the significance of this year’s clash, not just the revenge from factor from last year but more importantly it quite possibly determining who’ll end up with the No. 1 seed in the AFC. They break down key points and also spend time talking other Bills topics, including James Cook and the level of seriousness the team has in Odell Beckham Jr.

They also debut what’ll be a regular segment on the podcast called “The Medal Stand”. Each week Aaron will be given three topics with three choices for each, and assigning them bronze medals for worst through gold medals for best. This week Aaron’s taking on former Bills cornerbacks we wish could be on the 2022 roster, three Rocky movies (II, III and IV) and best R&B groups of the 90s (Boyz II Men, Jodeci & Dru Hill).

All that and much more!

There's a particular kind of passion that comes from following Buffalo sports, a mix of unwavering hope and hardened realism that Talking Buffalo captures perfectly. Hosted by Buffalo-born Patrick Moran, this Blue Wire podcast dives deep into the heart of the city's teams, with a primary focus on the emotional rollercoasters provided by the Bills and Sabres. Patrick doesn't just report on games; he lives them, offering a perspective that can swing from critical skepticism to full-blown optimism in a single conversation. That authentic, sometimes self-deprecating fan voice is exactly what drives each episode. The show regularly features interviews with guests from across the sports world, media, and even pop culture, providing unique angles and insider insights you won't find elsewhere. It’s this blend of local passion, candid analysis, and diverse conversations that gives the podcast its character. You'll hear the highs, the lows, and all the gritty commentary in between, all filtered through the experience of someone who truly understands what it means to invest in these teams. For anyone who bleeds blue and red or simply appreciates the complex narrative of a sports city, Talking Buffalo feels like a conversation with a knowledgeable, and admittedly opinionated, friend.
