It's Go Time For Brandon Beane

It's Go Time For Brandon Beane

Author: Blue Wire March 11, 2024 Duration: 1:16:25

On this episode, it's go time for the Buffalo Bills and NFL free agency season and Patrick Moran's joined by Joe From Queens to discuss several topics, including what they're expecting from Bills general manager Brandon Beane to keep his roster entrenched in the AFC championship mix.

After releasing several veterans before the start of free agency, including Mitch Morse, Jordan Poyer, Tre White, Deonte Harty and Siran Neal not to mention several pending Bills free agents that'll be lost to other teams, Beane's got a lot of work to do and not a lot of cap room to do it. He will have to mostly go the cheap route and/or get creative with trades. The guys have their own takes on what they hope Beane will do to add talent though free agency, trades and the draft.

They also discuss a clip from Mad Dog Radio's Adam Schein that went viral, calling the Bills past three seasons "an utter waste of time." Do they agree and if so, to what extent?

On the Sabres side they discuss Kyle Okposo's departure and argue how he should be remembered as a Sabres. They also have opinions on what Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News said on this show last week about the team having a recruiting a problem again and then see that conversation evolve into sports media talk.

That plus a few questions from fans of the show answered and much more.

There's a particular kind of passion that comes from following Buffalo sports, a mix of unwavering hope and hardened realism that Talking Buffalo captures perfectly. Hosted by Buffalo-born Patrick Moran, this Blue Wire podcast dives deep into the heart of the city's teams, with a primary focus on the emotional rollercoasters provided by the Bills and Sabres. Patrick doesn't just report on games; he lives them, offering a perspective that can swing from critical skepticism to full-blown optimism in a single conversation. That authentic, sometimes self-deprecating fan voice is exactly what drives each episode. The show regularly features interviews with guests from across the sports world, media, and even pop culture, providing unique angles and insider insights you won't find elsewhere. It’s this blend of local passion, candid analysis, and diverse conversations that gives the podcast its character. You'll hear the highs, the lows, and all the gritty commentary in between, all filtered through the experience of someone who truly understands what it means to invest in these teams. For anyone who bleeds blue and red or simply appreciates the complex narrative of a sports city, Talking Buffalo feels like a conversation with a knowledgeable, and admittedly opinionated, friend.
