Where The Bills Stand One Month Before Camp

Where The Bills Stand One Month Before Camp

Author: Blue Wire June 13, 2024 Duration: 1:15:05

On today's Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined in studio by podcaster Zach Kmitch for his first full episode ever on the show and the guys are dissecting exactly where they think the 2024 Buffalo Bills are as they approach the one month mark before training camp officially begins.

After spending a few minutes introducing Zach to the Talking Buffalo mix and getting to know a little about him, the guys dive into this Bills roster as presently constructed and the probability that it's for the most part set. In terms of team strengths Zach has plenty to say about the Buffalo front seven on defense, that even without the departed Leonard Floyd should be very good with a healthy Matt Milano back. They also talk about the plentiful amount of young offensive talent that both guys believe is still ascending.

There's definitely things to worry about with this team too. Among those topics discussed is questions marks on the offensive line, a unit that last year was easily the best of Josh Allen's career. Connor McGovern's played center before but can he effectively move there from guard and play well enough to not have Brandon Beane lament releasing Mitch Morse. Plus, David Edwards goes from being a huge under the radar asset as the sixth offensive lineman last year to starter at guard----will he play as well as he did when he was with the Rams or may the Bills have a problem there? Plus the Bills safety position is no longer something to not have to worry about it with the departures of both Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde, even if each were past their prime.

That plus a few X-factors, a little golf talk sprinkled in and much more.

There's a particular kind of passion that comes from following Buffalo sports, a mix of unwavering hope and hardened realism that Talking Buffalo captures perfectly. Hosted by Buffalo-born Patrick Moran, this Blue Wire podcast dives deep into the heart of the city's teams, with a primary focus on the emotional rollercoasters provided by the Bills and Sabres. Patrick doesn't just report on games; he lives them, offering a perspective that can swing from critical skepticism to full-blown optimism in a single conversation. That authentic, sometimes self-deprecating fan voice is exactly what drives each episode. The show regularly features interviews with guests from across the sports world, media, and even pop culture, providing unique angles and insider insights you won't find elsewhere. It’s this blend of local passion, candid analysis, and diverse conversations that gives the podcast its character. You'll hear the highs, the lows, and all the gritty commentary in between, all filtered through the experience of someone who truly understands what it means to invest in these teams. For anyone who bleeds blue and red or simply appreciates the complex narrative of a sports city, Talking Buffalo feels like a conversation with a knowledgeable, and admittedly opinionated, friend.
