Today's episode is about magnesium. The relaxing mineral. Magnesium is essential for health. For some people, magnesium supplement is very important in their lifestyle. There are several types of magnesium suitable for different types of conditions. Some of the different types of magnesium, which I will list in this episode, will be a few of them. You'll know, magnesium, citrate, glycinate, lactate, oxide, just name a few. But in regards to having an idea whether your deficiency depleted in magnesium, which most people are, you'll have some signs and symptoms such as muscle twitching, some muscle cramps, restless legs syndrome, anxiety, depression, high blood pressure, asthma, difficulty in breathing because you're. 2s There's some constriction in the inhalation palpitation arrhythmia. So how does one 1s deplete magnesium of the mineral? Because your body does. Let's make it. What happens is when you have too much alcohol, too much caffeine and sugar, it depletes magnesium. 2s When it does get further and further deficient, you'll start to experience some of the symptoms that I listed earlier. Even chronic stress can deplete magnesium. So definitely during pandemic, everybody was having insomnia issues. Not only just the blue screen, but they're depleted in magnesium 1s with difficulty in sleeping and such, or being anxious or overly stressed, not knowing what's happening in the world. So this is definitely a mineral 1s that we all need. That's why I'm doing this amazing podcast for everybody.

Each episode of Tea with Tia feels like a thoughtful conversation with a knowledgeable friend, hosted by Dr. Tia Hem. While the title suggests a cozy chat over a cup, the discussions delve into the interconnected layers of what truly makes us well. You’ll hear Tia explore the practical science behind popular approaches like the Ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting, but she consistently ties them back to broader principles of holistic health. A significant focus throughout the podcast is the intricate world of gut health and the microbiome, examining how what we eat forms the foundation of our overall vitality. Rather than presenting isolated ideas, Tia is interested in synergy. She often discusses how tools from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) nutrition can complement modern Functional Medicine perspectives, creating a more complete picture of personal wellness. This isn't about quick fixes or rigid rules; it's about understanding the "why" behind different nutritional strategies and how they can be adapted to individual lives. The tone is inviting and grounded, making complex topics accessible without oversimplifying them. If you're looking for a health podcast that respects both ancient wisdom and contemporary science, all while avoiding sensationalism, you'll find a refreshing perspective here. It’s a space for anyone curious about moving beyond generic advice to explore the nuanced relationships between diet, body systems, and lasting well-being.
