DuVoice Opens the Hospitality Market to Alianza Partners, Podcast

“The hospitality vertical is something Alianza partners absolutely have access to.”

In this Technology Reseller News podcast, Jon Dulude, CEO of DuVoice Corporation, discusses how the company helps service providers enter the hospitality market by connecting hotel phone systems with property management and billing platforms.

DuVoice provides middleware that enables cloud communications providers to deliver hotel-specific features that are often required by major hospitality brands.

Those capabilities include guest-name caller ID at the front desk, automated wake-up calls, guest voicemail and housekeeping status updates sent from room phones back to the property management system.

Dulude says those features are important because many standard cloud communications platforms do not provide them natively.

For Alianza partners, DuVoice has also deepened its integration with the platform. The company can now operate as an application server within the Metaswitch/Alianza environment, improving how DuVoice works with Alianza-based deployments.

“That makes the hospitality opportunity much more straightforward for the reseller,” Dulude says.

The opportunity also extends beyond basic compliance and hotel operations.

DuVoice can use in-room phones for guest notifications, including restaurant promotions, spa offers, group messages and emergency alerts. Message-waiting indicators can help draw attention to those communications in a way that email or mobile messaging may not.

Dulude says many MSPs and service providers have historically avoided hospitality because it appeared too specialized. His message is that the vertical is more accessible than many partners realize.

DuVoice sells its software in more than 50 countries and works with service providers worldwide.
