In July of 1974 the nude body of a woman is found in the dunes of Provincetown, Massachusetts. She was beaten to death and her hands were missing.  She was known simply as the Lady of the Dunes for over 40 years, until October 31st, 2022 when she was identified as Ruth Marie Terry. With her identity finally known now the police are looking to find her killer, and it looks like the police have a promising lead. Ruth Marie Terry's husband, Guy Rockwell Muldavin, had been the main suspect in the murder of his second wife and stepdaughter. Ruth Marie Terry may have been married to a murderer. Sources are Smoke, Mirrors, and Murder by Ann Rule. Lady of the Dunes multiple articles under this heading, from NBCBoston by Kathy Curran.

There's a certain kind of person who needs to know more, who feels that the official story is often just the first layer. For that person, there's The 2nd Location. Hosted by Holly, this isn't a simple retelling of cases you've already heard. Instead, it's built for those with a slightly obsessive need to understand every angle and contradiction. Holly digs past the headlines and press conferences, offering the depth of analysis that true crime enthusiasts crave. You won't find a recitation of Wikipedia articles here. The perspective is critical and human-centered, questioning narratives and examining the full impact of violence. Episodes delve into horrific murders with a dedicated focus on two groups often overlooked: the direct victims of the crime and those who become victims of the state. It’s for anyone who doesn't take institutional accounts at face value and wants to sit with a thoughtful, questioning companion while unpacking complex cases. If you're looking for a true crime podcast that treats dark subjects with both rigor and a clear point of view, you’ve found it. This is a space for deep dives, for skepticism, and for remembering the names beyond the evidence tags. Tune in when you're ready to look closer.
