Extra 020 - Spam caller shenanigans

Picture a weekly movie night where the conversation spills over into the recording booth. That’s the heart of The Argo City Podcast, a chronicle of fandom explored through the unique lens of a father-daughter duo. One voice comes from a Gen Xer steeped in decades of genre history, the other from a Gen Zer navigating the current landscape of anime, comics, and blockbuster films. Their discussions start from shared experiences-like their regular film viewings or adventures at conventions-but often branch into fascinating territory, examining how their different generational perspectives shape their connection to the stories they love. You’ll hear them dissect a classic film’s legacy, debate the latest superhero series, or reminisce about a memorable con encounter, all with a blend of warmth, occasional disagreement, and genuine curiosity about each other’s viewpoints. This isn’t a formal review show; it’s an ongoing dialogue about what it means to be a fan, how tastes evolve, and why these narratives matter across generations. Tune in to this podcast for a surprisingly personal and insightful slice of fan life, where the analysis is as much about their relationship as it is about the movies and comics they adore.
