The Passion of the Christ Returns to Theaters This Week (+ more) | The Catholic Morning Show - 09/08/2026

Bo Bonner and Deacon Mark Campbell are back in studio on the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, joined by Fr. David Esquiliano of the Cathedral of the Epiphany in Sioux City to explain the Blue Mass honoring police, firefighters, and EMTs — and why St. Michael the Archangel is at the center of it. Joe Condit, founder of the Catholic Speakers Organization, makes the case for seeing Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ on the big screen during its newly remastered 4K re-release, September 10 through 17, which includes an exclusive sneak peek at The Resurrection of the Christ: Part One. The hosts also share where they were on September 11, 2001, ahead of the attacks' 25th anniversary, plus Tuesday news, Iowa Cubs and MLB scores, high school football, central Iowa weather, and a Snoop Dogg job listing neither host is qualified for.
