The Electro Swing Podcast
MusicInterviews

In this episode of the Electro Swing Podcast, Offbeat is joined by Marcella Puppini - founding member of the world-renowned Puppini Sisters and a prolific performer in her own right, with a diverse catalogue of solo and collaborative work.

In a candid and wide-ranging conversation, Marcella takes us behind the scenes of the Puppini Sisters’ 20-year journey - from being signed to a major label and receiving a £1 million advance, to collaborating with Michael Bublé and performing around the world.

But she doesn’t shy away from the tougher moments either, opening up about conflicts with former members, the toll this took on her mental health, and the challenges that came with leaving their label and going independent.

We also dig into some of her other standout projects, including her 2016 collaboration with veteran rapper RA the Rugged Man - and she even hints at a possible reunion between the two.

All that and more from someone who can only be described as vintage revival royalty - Marcella Puppini!
