In this episode, Offbeat sits down with Electro Swing icon and long time collaborator and friend Odd Chap. Together, they dive into Odd Chap's musical journey, the unique challenges of being a New Zealand-based artist in a genre largely dominated by European influences, and the collaborative process behind his latest album featuring a range of talented artists. They also explore Odd Chap's other creative ventures, including Odd Loft and Antidote Audio, while discussing the delicate balance between creativity and marketing.
With the natural chemistry of good friends, the episode is packed with humour and behind-the-scenes stories, including career milestones like Odd Chap’s first million streams and performing at Boomtown. This episode is a must-listen for Electro Swing fans and anyone curious about the creative process of one of the genres most beloved artists!
