The boys chat with Danbury Mayor Roberto Alves for a segment called “Ask the Mayor.” A big green alien statue was stolen from outside Charlie’s Funky Junk Shop in Georgia, but thankfully, this one appears to have a happy ending. Another business in the neighborhood spotted the missing alien, and it has since been safely returned to its rightful home.
A 13-year-old in Seattle also managed to turn a baseball giveaway into a serious payday. The kid sold a rare Jimothy the Raccoon gold card on eBay for an unbelievable $21,100. The card had been handed out during a Seattle Mariners game, and apparently somebody realized pretty quickly that they were holding onto something much more valuable than a typical piece of sports memorabilia.
Meanwhile, Colorado’s Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory celebrated the first-ever “Fat Marmot Week,” which is exactly what it sounds like. The event was apparently designed to celebrate the chunky marmots getting ready for winter, and Dawn has officially been crowned the winner. Congratulations to Dawn, who is presumably having the best week of her life.
An Arizona school district has also made the decision to cancel an entire high school football season, including both varsity and junior varsity, following a criminal case connected to an incident at a football camp in July. Very few details have been released publicly, but the allegations reportedly involve inappropriate hazing and an incident described as “dry humping.” The situation remains under investigation, and the district has decided that canceling the season was the appropriate response.

Nothing says “enjoy your meal” quite like opening the door and realizing the delivery person apparently forgot one very important part of the uniform.
