Tuesday, Mar 10 - Pastrami on Rye

On TV Talk Tuesday, the boys ran through a handful of the latest shows they’ve been watching and had some thoughts. The conversation covered The Madison on Paramount+, Paradise on Hulu, Rooster on HBO, and Vladimir on Netflix. As usual, there were mixed reviews, a few strong opinions, and probably at least one show that somebody else on the panel hasn’t started yet but now feels pressured to watch. In local entertainment news, Ice Cube has been announced as one of the headlining acts for this year’s Big E. The massive New England fair always pulls in some big names for its concert lineup, and Cube joining the schedule should definitely get a lot of attention from fans planning a trip to West Springfield later this year. Meanwhile, a man from Trumbull, Connecticut is facing some serious accusations after authorities say he managed to scam Amazon out of about $3 million. Details about the alleged scheme are still unfolding, but if the accusations hold up, it’s one of those stories that makes you wonder how someone even pulls something like that off in the first place. Air travel also provided one of those “only on a plane” moments recently. A woman was reportedly kicked off an American Airlines flight headed to Fort Lauderdale after causing a scene with the flight attendants. According to reports, the issue started when the crew asked her to stop playing videos on her phone without headphones. Instead of simply putting on a pair of earbuds or turning the volume down, the situation escalated into shouting, and she was eventually removed from the flight. And finally, in one of the stranger stories floating around, a food stand reported that it somehow lost about 600 units of onion dip in a single day. Whether it was a massive run of hungry customers or something a little more mysterious, that’s a lot of dip to disappear in such a short amount of time.
