The boys get into retro chubs and all the nostalgia, weirdness, and fun that comes along with them. A mom also shared a pretty impressive game she played with her toddler, involving tiny NFL helmets and some very specific football knowledge. She would put out the miniature helmets and ask her kid to identify the quarterback for each team. The kid absolutely crushed it and apparently didn't miss a single one. She even switched things up by naming a quarterback and asking him to grab the helmet belonging to that team, and he made it look ridiculously easy.
A Connecticut ice cream shop is also getting creative with one of the state's most sacred foods: New Haven apizza. Kelly’s Cone Connection created an ice cream version of an apizza slice, because apparently regular pizza wasn't enough. The shop has been on a serious food-mashup kick lately, previously turning a cheeseburger, clam chowder, and lobster roll into ice cream creations. At this point, I'm not sure what's next. Ice cream hot dog? Ice cream cheesesteak? We probably shouldn't give them ideas.
Meanwhile, an animal education organization says it has already had to collect around 20 snakes from public locations this year. Apparently, snakes aren't limiting themselves to the woods anymore, because one of them was reportedly found hanging out in the bread aisle of a supermarket. Nothing says "I need to get out of here" quite like reaching for a loaf of bread and finding a snake waiting nearby.
And finally, plastic surgeons say they're seeing more patients coming in with expectations that may not be realistic, thanks in part to artificial intelligence filters. People can now alter their appearance so dramatically with a few taps that the edited version of themselves can start to feel like reality. Doctors are warning that some patients are bringing those AI-generated faces into consultations and expecting to actually look that way in real life.
