What have you been up to? Seen any good movies lately? It’s not always easy to find them, but “Theater at Home” releases are available and more titles are being announced all the time. The Film Board will continue to gather its thugs and spoil them for you as we find them out there in the streaming universe until we can all get back and see our beloved big screens. Capone was released to most major streaming services on May 12th. It stars Tom Hardy in another one of his signature transformation roles alongside Linda Cardelini, Matt Dillon, and Kyle McLachlan.
Pete Wright, Steve Sarmento, and Justin 'JJ' Jaeger will zoom together to sort out the whats and the whys in this depiction of the gangster’s last days. It's not an organized crime movie, but it definitely addresses the trappings of a crime lord’s lifestyle and the potential lasting human consequences. Check out this episode as we give a spoiler-laden jaunt through the addled mind of Alphonse Capone. So many people have been captivated by his life in crime for years after his death in 1947. This film examines a part of life that is rarely discussed, and Capone’s is unique. Unravel it all with us on The Film Board!

There’s a particular kind of energy that comes from walking out of a movie theater with a head full of thoughts, needing to unpack everything you just saw with someone who gets it. That’s the feeling The Film Board captures every month. Host Pete Wright gathers a dedicated panel of film enthusiasts-regulars like Tommy Metz III, Steve Sarmento, and Justin Jaeger, plus a rotating lineup of fellow movie lovers-for a roundtable conversation that feels like the best kind of post-movie debrief. They dive into the latest theatrical releases without holding back, so spoilers are a given. You’ll hear them dissect everything from a film’s most bizarre moments and puzzling narrative choices to those random, memorable details that stick with you. This isn’t a formal review show; it’s a lively, opinionated, and deeply informed discussion among friends who are genuinely obsessed with cinema. The conversations are fueled by that shared obsession, resulting in a mix of insightful analysis and unapologetically strong takes. Tune in to this podcast for the kind of candid, detailed, and engaging talk that makes you feel like you’re right there at the table with them, long after the credits have rolled.
