Author: Grimerica May 28, 2016 Duration: 1:22:12
Interview Starts 30:50

Emily Lakdawalla - Planetary Evangelist and Senior Editor at Planetary Society joins us to chat about the exploration of our solar system. There has been so much going on in the last few years and Emily is an absolute wealth of our solar system. There are many projects on Mars and right now and many coming and going to the moon.
We chat about Light Sails, the variety of objects like Pluto - but not quite planets, Ocean world potential and the many moons, Near Earth Object detection, and landing on comets with the possibility of mining and manufacturing in situ.

In the intro we chat about Napolean's "Lost Bread" comic now available, and our local observatory's "milky way nights" during the summer. Graham reads a great trip report from a listener and of course the NA meet up is this Saturday in Red Deer. Please help support the show and our "UPGRADE" fund raiser for a new recording computer. The Grimerica Show is a long-form conversation series hosted by Darren and Graham that operates without a map, preferring to follow curiosity down whatever rabbit hole seems most compelling. This podcast exists in a space where documentary meets late-night talk radio, built on the idea that the most interesting perspectives are often found outside the mainstream. Episodes feature deep, casual dialogues with independent researchers, authors, and thinkers typically exploring the edges of accepted narratives. You’ll hear discussions that weave together spirituality, alternative interpretations of history, and the enduring mystery of UFOs, alongside examinations of consciousness, forgotten cultures, and societal structures. The approach is intentionally unscripted and open-ended, allowing guests to present complex or unconventional ideas without the constraints of a traditional editorial filter. The tone is more like a gathering of friends than a formal interview, resulting in a free-flowing exchange that can be both challenging and entertaining. For listeners tired of pre-packaged conclusions, The Grimerica Show offers a platform for speculative dialogue and raw inquiry. It’s built for anyone who prefers questions over answers and enjoys hearing a conversation unfold organically, with all its tangents and revelations intact. This is independent media driven by genuine interest, creating a consistently unpredictable listening experience.
