The New Year as a Catalyst for Change
Segment 1
Larry begins this show wishing everybody a happy new year and immediately dives into the Government shutdown. He says that both Democrats and Republicans are wrong on the issue immigration. Larry believes that instead of building a wall or having open borders, they should create more hubs (Or “Ellis Islands”) for immigrants to come through so that the process of getting citizenship is faster. Plus, his comments on the country being more divided than ever, why politicians need to give better alternatives to socialism rather than attacking it, and Mayor Bill de Blasio’s new healthcare guarantee.
Segment 2
Larry reiterates his idea on immigrants going through more “Ellis Islands.” He says that the idea would be good as the government will know exactly who’s in our country, leading to more control of immigrants coming in and out of America. He also comments on how President Trump’s wall will not stop drug trafficking from getting into our country. Then one big question, should local governments gain more control from the state? Larry totally believes so.
Segment 3
Larry takes calls from listeners. He talks about why he would never switch parties, even though he had been asked several times. Larry thinks staying as a libertarian and taking chances on his long road is better than being part of establishment politics. Plus, why voters need to be conscious of who they vote for and people can’t be angry about the state of their government if they continue to support career politicians that will not change this country.
Segment 4
Larry begins his last segment with reasons as to why he will never go away from fighting for a better New York State. He wants to people to donate to his cause because he feels that his ideas are truly for change. He also loves the fact that many of the ideas that he proposed a candidate are actually happening in some parts of the nation. Also, Larry makes his point on why his campaign coming in second to Governor Cuomo would have been huge for him, libertarians, and forced both major parties to change their ways. Then, he talks more about his upcoming trip to Western New York.
