Well, Habit Thrivers, we are coming in strongđȘ (pun intended) to another week here on the Habit Thrive Podcast!
This week, on Episode #103, I am keeping up the momentum I was inspiredđ„° to gather during last weekâs spectacular interview!
Chatting with Kim reminded me how valuableđ«¶ a strength routine is for our health and well-being: Not just physically, but also mentally.đ§
So, we are going to spend the month of June focusing on movement. Movement such as:
â Pushing
â Pulling
â Hinging
We are going to start off this week by taking a look at our âwhyâđ€ for strength training.:
â€ïžTo be able to move the large pots in the garden
â€ïžTo be able to pick up growing grandchildren
â€ïžTo be able to push the boat off from the dock
Knowing our âwhyâ makes it easier for us to turn our strength training activity into a habit and also know which movements are going to benefit us the most.
If youâre not sure where to start, I recommend that you begin with a plank and/or push-ups every day this week.
Itâs a simple, basic movement that targets arms, legs and core strength - which we all can use!
Additionally, I suggestâïž reading something each day that is related to the benefits of strength training for women.
Hit Google or your favorite podcastđïž platform for some quick tips on âstrength training for women after 50â or âpost-menopause bone densityâ or âhow to maintain arm strength in my 60sâ...
Or whatever else speaks to you.
Just make it a habit every day, and watch yourself grow stronger right before your eyes!đ
