Maxime Bernier | The Pandemic, Passports, Gender Politics, Multiculturalism & More...

Author: Jason Petrunik October 13, 2021 Duration: 36:46
In this #podcast, Maxime and I discuss the election, what went right and what went wrong. Of course, we dive into the #politics of the pandemic, passports, his beliefs in pro-choice and personal freedoms. It's raw, it's honest, and he tells it like it is. If you don't like them, don't vote for them. Their platform won't change, but he hopes, with his party's ideas brought to the table, the country will. Maxime was first elected as Member of Parliament for Beauce on January 23, 2006, and was appointed to Cabinet on February 6, 2006, as Minister of Industry. Mr. Bernier also served as Minister of Foreign Affairs from August 14, 2007, to May 26, 2008, and was re-elected to represent Beauce on October 14, 2008, again receiving the largest majority of all MPs in Quebec. Re-elected on May 2, 2011, he was appointed Minister of State for Small Business and Tourism, and then re-elected a fourth time in November 2015, receiving more than 59% of the vote. On August 23, 2018, he left the Conservative Party of Canada to sit as an independent MP and announced the launch of a new party, the People Party of Canada, which he continues to lead today.   Read the #ppc platform HERE, and you can find Maxime on twitter.   Listen, watch on YouTube, or stream all episodes on https://TheLaunchpadPodcast.com, and find J-man on social media:   ➤https://YouTube.com/Jmanisalive (subscribe) ➤ https://Instagram.com/Jman_is_alive ➤ https://Facebook.com/TheLaunchpadPodcast ➤ https://Twitter.com/Jmanisalive   "Take care, be well & love simply because you can"

Hosted by Jason Petrunik, The "HARD TRUTH" feat. J-man started with a focus on personal growth but evolved significantly as our collective reality shifted. Confronted by a fractured public discourse and a changing media landscape, Jason felt a need to steer the conversation toward the substantive and often overlooked. This podcast now delves into the stories and ideas that shape our world, weaving through news, culture, politics, and society with a direct and questioning perspective. The aim isn't to preach but to examine, offering a platform for discussions that can feel sidelined by more mainstream channels. You'll hear conversations that attempt to bridge divides, not by avoiding difficult subjects, but by engaging with them honestly. The tone is straightforward, driven by a belief that understanding complex issues requires looking beyond simplified narratives. Each episode is an effort to share information and perspectives that contribute to a more nuanced view of current events and cultural shifts. Tune in for a thoughtful, and at times challenging, exploration of the forces defining our modern experience.
