Fencing and Financing with Sunil Sabharwal, formerly at IMF

Author: Sanjay Puri June 21, 2023 Duration: 34:37

If you approach each new opportunity with a willingness to learn something new, every life experience will have something valuable to teach you.

On this episode, I’m joined by The Honorable Sunil Sabharwal, former US Board Member to IMF, who describes a diverse professional career in seemingly disparate fields, but which Sunil has used to pursue growth and development at every turn.

In our conversation, Sunil shared his advice for achieving similar professional success:

- Pursue things that you’re passionate about, because you’ll perform better at tasks that interest you.

- Don’t just network for the sake of professional opportunity, but do so for the sake of building meaningful relationships.

- You can incorporate lessons from one role into your growth in another field, no matter how dissimilar the two roles or industries appear.

As Sunil describes in our conversation, adaptability and the pursuit of your passions are foundational components of Indianness.
