Cowboys OTA Standouts: Parker’s Defense, Malachi Lawrence, Joe Milton

The Dallas Cowboys defense might already be showing signs of life under new defensive coordinator Christian Parker. On this episode of the Landry Hat Podcast, Zac and FootsDaKing break down the biggest Cowboys OTA takeaways, including why Parker’s defense is already being described as “annoying” for the offense, what that says about communication, disguise, pressure and overall defensive culture, and why this feels like more than just a simple scheme change.

We also dive into the early defensive standouts from Cowboys OTAs, including Cobie Durant, Caelen Carson, Dee Winters, Malachi Lawrence, Marist Liufau, Rashan Gary, Quinnen Williams and Kenny Clark. Is the defensive line already setting the tone? Could Malachi Lawrence be a name to watch? And is Christian Parker building the kind of aggressive, detailed defense Dallas badly needed?

Plus, we talk about Ryan Flournoy getting a bigger opportunity with George Pickens and CeeDee Lamb absent, the latest on Joe Milton, and why Sam Howell could make the Cowboys QB2 battle more interesting than expected.

Topics include Dallas Cowboys OTAs, Christian Parker’s new defense, Cowboys defensive standouts, Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, Malachi Lawrence, Ryan Flournoy, Joe Milton, Sam Howell and the biggest storylines from minicamp and offseason practices.
